Margaret & Susanna
These sweet sisters made for a fun afternoon. Margaret, the oldest, seemed very excited when I arrived and was ready to go by showing me all of the fun things that she does with with her family; reading books, puzzles, snacktime, swinging, kickball and baseball. Even though our outside play ended abruptly when a little storm blew up out of nowhere, we still had a good time. Big brown eyes and a new baby make for some great images. Thanks for having me over Sarah and Matt.

Dara
Baby number two is on the way for Dara and Chris and is set to arrive pretty shortly. We'll be having a newborn session as well which I'm looking forward to. For now, here are some favorites from our maternity session last week. We did some stuff at home and then decided to take a walk and were so glad we did. We found a ton of interesting spots to use. The two of her in the grass had us laughing because our last thing we wanted to do was find some tall grass to work with. After a while we finally found some in just a fairly narrow section to the side of an alley way. Looking at the images you don't know what our surrounding were and this and that makes it so much fun for me. Isn't she beautiful?
Ty wasn't much for sitting still. He just wanted to crawl through Dara's legs that made a tunnel. Is this an ornery expression or what?

Nylah
How beautiful is this little girl? Nylah is just about a year and a half and I was so excited when she met me at the door (behind mom and dad) and I saw her gorgeous eyes and hair. She played with her dolls, read books, watched a little Backyardigans and just hung out. The furry blanket on the back of the couch made for a great new toy to explore on the floor. Nylah's mom Amy said that I after I left, that was all she wanted to do.
We headed outside to water some flowers. Nylah was getting tired and wrapped her arms around her mom's neck and I was so happy to get a few images of that. As a mom, I feel like those are so priceless because it is how we take care of our children everyday in the little moments, but we rarely have portraits of it.
How can they be this young and be able to communicate so much? It just amazes me.

Abriella
I'm just thrilled for my friends Aimee and Tom on the arrival of their little girl. She's tiny and beautiful and lucky to have such wonderful parents. Can't you just feel the love in the image below? There's such a sense of protection as well.
Abriella was 11 days old during our session and Aimee looked so great that I kept forgetting what she had just gone through. It's funny because Aimee told me that she just can't believe she is actually here, and yet when a new baby arrives there is so much love that you can't imagine not having them in your heart. I love a first born baby because life just has so much more meaning from that point on.
