Aimee and I met up last week to do what I like to call a beauty shoot. We just get to have fun and do a more fashion type session. We even put her in her Wedding dress from a few years back. She's gorgeous anyway, but I really love the high end feel we got with these. If anyone is interested in this type of session, please just give me a holler! I love it!

Kinsey
Kinsey's mom and I have been trying to organize our schedules to do a session in November, without much luck, so we decided to have a little impromptu meet up and grab some photos of the baby. We only had about an hour and while Kinsey was not in the best of moods, she did give us some really cute expressions. The second one here is one of my all time favs. Soooo much personality in the one little look - and those eyes!

Itty Bitty Baby Bump!
So Darci is the cutest little pregnant person I've ever seen. I hadn't met her yet when I showed up at her house to do a maternity shoot yesterday. I did a session with her sister Dara's family just awhile back and we have been discussing sessions for the baby when he/she arrives. I suggested the idea of some maternity photos and I think we may have just gotten them in because the baby may not hold off that much longer. She isn't due for several more weeks, but you never know with these little ones. I'm looking forward to the newborn session coming up soon!
On another note, to anyone who reads this, please say a prayer for Darci & Dara's family for much health and strength in a difficult time.
We got Kevin in for a few shots too!
Darci's dog Bailey was with us the whole way so it seemed only fair to provide an individual portrait.
And last but not least............the bikini shot. How much fun is this? I love the unexpected and Darci was up for it. Could she look any sweeter?

Such Flare!
Lens flare is one of those things that a lot of photographers drool over. It's dramatic, warm, soft, adds something artistic to an image. There is even "fake" flare that you can add to your images in post production. The flare I ended up with in the image below was really a surprise and a little treat for me. I was just trying to catch a little with my son Roman before the sun set. It's a darn rainbow! And he's waving - it - somehow!? ! I know it's weird.
DISCLAIMER -- I have no idea for the life of me - why - he ended up with this haircut. I came home with my oldest Drew from a meeting at school (only gone about an hour) and my husband surprised me with this little gem. He never mentioned that he thought he needed a haircut, never mentioned HIM cutting his hair. Why, because he is not very good at it. I know, this is obvious. Atleast this image is looking at him straight on. You don't want to see it from the side. :)
