A Windy Whirlwind

IMG_7484
Christine warned me that this year (our first session was last fall) little Sadie
would be tough to keep up with. She was right. We met up at the library and while it really is a beautiful place to have a session, it may not have been the best option this day. After hanging around on the staircase and the upstairs foyer, we spent a little time in the children's area. It didn't last too long though; there was a little too much running and screaming involved; you know kids being kids. We decided to high tail it out before we were asked to leave.
I hope you are laughing Christine! You were working very hard although for moms it's just another day.
Their girls are beautiful and just a joy to be around.

This is one of my favorites.

From what I hear, this is a rarity.

We braved the wind and cold and headed out to play in the leaves. Hot Chocolate helped to warm the bellies and hands.

Little Sadie is completely fearless. She hung here contently when they let go of her.

Sisters

IMG_6610

Last year I traveled to meet this family at their home for our session, and this year they all drove up to see me. We had a perfect evening at Inniswoods to hang out and walk around. It seems as though it was everyone's idea as there had to be atleast 10 other photographers there while we were.

They seem normal enough at first, but when you hang around with these guys for awhile things can get a little crazy. I'm pretty sure that most of the shannanigans start with Dad. Michelle and the girls would probably agree.

Kate is first. She's the youngest and absolutely loves to be photographed. She makes it very easy. I loved this spot with the little wooded gate.

On the left is the shot from last year that we took to mimick the one they had taken themselves of the girls years earlier. On the right is our newest version. So now they have three. It was Dad who suggested that we do this again this year. When mom asked him if we were going to have to do this every year now, he said "Yes!" I made him get all teary eyed when I mentioned that they could each do this on their wedding day.

It was great to see you all again. I love my returning clients!

Sneaky Peeky

IMG_7811
I had to post this today because I know mom and dad are waiting and I won't be able to get to their session for a few more days. So here is a sneak peek Krista! He is such a beautiful little boy.

Ahhhh..............Autumn.

It has been fun watching this little one grow up. We started with a maternity session and Grant is now One year old. We share the same birthday as a matter of fact. I was a little worried about the one year session because he has always been so physically active and I suspected he would be running all over the place. It turned out he was pretty easy.
I have to tell you I was feeling so physically awful during this session and very out of sorts. I was glad to be with Darci and Kevin as this was our fourth session together and they are just so kind and easy going. Thank you guys for being concerned and patient.
We had THE best weather and it felt so good to be outside while the sun was starting to set. I would say that half of the session Grant had his tongue sticking out; up, down, to the side. He's like a little Michael Jordan going to the basket. We got plenty of both though. ;)

It's ok, they asked me to. ;)

They are a beautiful family with lots of love between them.

I brought my son's little wagon and was glad they enjoyed it. Mom brought suckers, which they enjoyed even more.

I have such a hard time narrowing it down to just a few for the blog. Each image offers something different and I always want to be able to share that. This one offers Happiness.
