Keepin it in the family.........

IMG_4605

It's so hard to believe my nephew Josh is graduating from High School this year. I am happy to have him as the subject of my first senior session. I got to drive over and spend the day with my sister's family - I haven't seen them in forever. Josh rocked it out with his two guitars and his "angry pants". Yes, that is what they are called - although you don't see them too much in the images I chose to post here.

Josh is a great swimmer like his sister and is planning on swimming in college so we had to spend some time at the pool. When I showed him a couple of shots on the LCD, he said that I have "camera magic". No, I think it's called good genes and handsome guy.

Reagan - omics

IMG_3890

Look at that face! Baby Reagan is almost 6 months old and ready for her close up. Ava (below) is the big sister and always up for fun, craziness, lots of posing and shenannigans. This was a moment inbetween all of the above.

IMG_3957

Our first session was last year with Miss Ava and baby Reagan was still in Stephanie's belly. Stephanie is best friends with Darci. Darci is my marketing guru that works for me for free, referring all and any friends and family my way. You will see her mentioned here often. ;)

Ok Stephanie and Joel, I really hope you get a kick out of this next one after all of our hard work in this room and me standing on your bed.

Like mother like daughter. Pink, polished tootsies.

I love - love this one of Ava. I can only imagine what goes on in that little mind of hers.

Appreciation .................

I always say that I have the best clients and you all send me the nicest notes and emails. They are all greatly appreciated and important and they keep me going, but yesterday I received two of the nicest ones yet. Thank you Tonya and Thank You Hillary, for your words and appreciation and understanding. Those comments make me want to do more and do better and believe in myself as an artist, which is most important to me.

I can't believe what I just saw..........

I'm sitting here returning emails, and I look over at my husband and this is what I see...........

He had taken one baby wipe, ripped it in half , placed each half on the floor, placed each foot on one half and proceded to scoot around over the wood floor in the dining area covering about 5 square feet.

You call that cleaning?

I've seen it all.

An afternoon at Griggs Reservoir

dad1

This was Sage's 2nd session and she is now three months old and exploring the world. We threw some blankets on the ground and let her mavel at the light coming through the trees and the movement of the leaves. We managed to get quite a good variety. It always amazes me how many expressions baby will give you in a matter of seconds, so I just stay ready and keep shooting.

Above, from time to time she needed to snuggle with Daddy to make things just right.

By the time we got the bubbles to blow above her face where she could see them (the wind was not cooperating) she was done and it was time to go home. We'll see her again in January for her six month session. Bye baby Sage. :)

Jack

Untitled-1

Little Jack let me follow him around while he played in the loft with his train.

Well hello there, blue eyes.

IMG_2675

This is one of Jack's favorite books. Our original plan was to get Jack and the family dog Cocoa in some shots together , but it proved to be a little difficult. Cocoa was a somewhat (a lot) excited and we had trouble keeping her in one place. Little Jack's body was working on a cold, so he wasn't totally up for it either.

Teresa is one of those "sweetest people you've ever met" and I was glad to finally get to meet her and her family. She's gorgeous too, isn't she?
